What is NDA?

NDA stands for National Defense Academy of Indian Armed Forces where cadets of the Indian Army, Air Force, and Navy trains together before going on to the respective service academies for further training.



NDA Exam Pattern and Syllabus

NDA written exam is conducted by UPSC (union public service commission) twice a year. NDA paper is a multi-choice question paper. NDA examination is based on two papers, i.e. NDA1 (mathematics) and NDA2 (general ability). Both subjects have some particular topic limits. Let us discuss which topics to prepare to crack the NDA entrance exam.


NDA -1 (Mathematics): Algebra, Trigonometry, Determinants, Matrices, Vector Algebra, Differential calculus, Integral calculus, Analytical geometry, Statistics, and Probability.


NDA -2 (General Ability): General knowledge related to History, English (Vocabulary and Grammar), Geography, general science, Current events, Chemistry and Physics.


In order to crack the NDA written exam, we need to know the full NDA exam syllabus and NDA exam pattern. The total duration of both exams is 2:30 hours per subject/paper. Remember your task is not done until you clear the last round i.e. SSB interview. This interview is of 900 marks, it includes physical, mental and PI tests.
